Interim Performances
I just recieved this email from Gris:
STAGE 3 INTERIM PERFORMANCES
Hello everyone. As you know, the interim performances are coming up shortly. I am disappointed that I have received NO performance plans from any of you! (In my defence I don't remember being asked for one - Ed.) So in order to ensure things run smoothly you have been put into groups. Each group will be collectively responsible for the planning and organisation of that ‘set’ of performances. The first thing you need to do is get together in your groups and decide on a plan of action. You all have college e-mail, so GET IN TOUCH! It is your responsibility to organise this event.
You need to delegate individuals to deal with PA, mixing and lighting desks; stage management (announcing the performers, shifting the ‘scene’ between performances by moving mic stands, pianos etc. We can’t have the audience going in and out between each one); running order of programme etc. You will be marked down if you do not plan and organise well or fail to communicate with one another in the group.
As a group you will be required to book any extra equipment from Sound & Vision and communicate with the technical staff about any assistance you may need. I will book a standard set of PA equipment i.e. a box of mics, DI boxes etc. and make sure the PA and lighting desks are set up. A member of the technical staff will be present to help out on the day. A provisional schedule for the interim performances has been drawn up as follows:
